Transmutation
Level: Sor/Wiz 2
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One creature
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fortitude negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)
By altering the body of a living creature, you are able to
reduce the amount of physical trauma sustained. This converts 2d8
points of damage that the subject has received into subdual
damage, as well as curing +1 point per caster level (up to +6).
This spell does not affect subdual damage. Subdual damage points
must be regained normally, through rest or divine healing.
Having one’s body transmuted, even for beneficial purposes, can be
disconcerting. Whenever recover moderate health is cast,
the target creature must make a Will save (DC 19) or be nauseated
for one round. After that period, the body’s equilibrium returns
and the creature acts normally. |
