Wall

There you stand, alone again. You have set yourself apart from the hounds that might ravage you. And yet, you have repelled those that would love you as well.

You have built a mighty fortress to surround you and keep you from harm. But you have cut me off as well.

If only you could lead yourself to trust me, to let me love you the way you deserve to be loved, then I would never let you know pain again. But can you make that step?

So once again, I offer up my plea: let me be your protector. Let me surround you with my love. Let me shield you from life’s many pains and problems. Let me be your wall.
