The early morning light...

by Myra Sunveil

...filtered through the windows of the Tao Guildhouse. A single ray found its way to touch the face of the elf maiden, whose cheek was on the table, her eyes closed in true sleep. The light sparkled through her hair and warmed her face. A slow smile spread across her lips as her eyes fluttered open. It had been the first night in a long time she hadn't had any nightmares she could remember, and that started her day out nicely.

Then she looked at the books and the papers surrounding her on the hall's table. And she sighed. No amount of sunlight, or lack of nightmares on her part would solve the problem before her.

Looking over the books again, careful to not rustle them too much, in case there was someone to be disturbed in the building, she frowned at the titles. Baal'morda. It was surprising that she *hadn't* had nightmares.

She glanced over her own notes and nodded to herself. Putting her notebook in her "bard" bag, as she called it, she began stacking books to return them to their place on the shelves.

She would travel out to the Yew Crypts today. And she would wait. She had a few questions that needed answering, and they weren't going to answer themselves.
