These are my findings and suppositions thus far in the matter of Mord'sythe and the affliction which plagues the Glade.

From the tome, Baal'morda: Lord of the Dead..
It is to be noted, Baal is a minion of one called, "the ancient adversary", presumably, The Guardian. Baal's followers are referred to as the Scions. The Inquisition by the Sacred Order of the Ankh was able to detect these Scions. How exactly, is unknown. It is believed by a few, that Mord'sythe is the sole remaining Scion of Baal'morda, and, the source of the affliction which now affects a few of our citizens. The proof we need to act on this has not yet surfaced.

From the tome, The Guardian's Virtues..
I have determined that it is this set of 'rules' by which Semper Inctus Noctum is guided. Their comments to patrons of the Arrow about drinking, and their mannerisms all suggest this.

From a missive sent by the Order of the Ankh..
There is mention of a battle with the Scions and the Paladins of the Ankh in a place called the valley of Sylva. The Paladins pulled back after their victory to Lockhorn Keep. This to me suggests that that this valley must lie somewhere close to the Keep. Also mentioned are the Elves of Sylva, who provided the ingredients and the rare Silver Ginseng, for the ritual of sundering, which severs the tie between the Scions and their victims. This ritual was never performed, for the caravan carrying the supplies mysteriously disappeared.

In going back to the Hidden Tower south of Shame, the Lady Veil and I once again followed the runes there, marking the locations of the Southern Enclave and Lockhorn Keep in hopes of ascertaining some clue as to the location of the valley of Sylva. If one draws a straight line between the two, there are two possible valleys that suggest themselves. One, being just NW of Britain, the fabled Rat Valley, and the other, the valley just to the NE of that one, wherein lies the Shrine of Chaos. Veil and I undertook a journey to the former, but as we arrived the weather made it impossible to investigate further, so we turned back. I feel that in either of these two valleys may lie the key to victory against Mord'sythe, his minions, and an end to this affliction.

I would ask that we undertake a mission soon to scour these two valleys to see what we might find.

On the matter of Myra Sunveil..
I have been close to Myra for some time now, and recently a change in her manner has become most disturbing. She, where once she shared what she knew, has become closed, sullen and secretive, and has been acting alone, making sojourns to the tower of Mord'sythe, trying to find a cure for the afflicted ones here in the Glade. She has not been successful. She -has- succeeded however, in getting herself caught up in a web in which I don't think she intended. Upon her right arm is a mark which seals a bargain she made with Mord'sythe in exchange for some secret information, and assures her silence from the telling of them. She swore me to silence, and I agreed, only if she shared with me her activities and what she had learned. She has not done this, so I must act to help her now, even if it means breaking that promise. The welfare of both her and the citizens of the Glade is at risk, we must end this and soon, for time runs short for our afflicted friends.

It also occurs to me that there is some connection to the lich Khellenduras in all this. The wasting sickness referred to in his diary bears a remarkable similarity to that which now affects many in the Glade. And.. that I found the book in the tower of Mord'sythe, before majicks were set against my entering, also would point to this...

I don't know how much of this is new, but we must meet and share what we know. We cannot let this go on, I consider this an urgent matter as I hope you do as well.

Diola lle for your time and consideration,

~V~
