Burning

by Dolenamo

Dolenamo sat on the edge of his bed in the house he shared with his melar, Ithilwen. He was very glad she was not there to see him in his present state. His hands shook as chills wracked his body and fever burned his mind. He was weakened to a point where walking across the room was difficult. The last of what was left of his life was being sucked away.

He knew everything now. It was indeed Baal'morda that had brought Dolenamo back from the world of the dead. Since that time, Dolenamo had been forced to 'feed' to stay alive. It had been many weeks since Dolen had taken a life to extend his own. Since the Ritual of Sundering had been preformed things had gone from bad to worse for him. Immediately after the ritual he had felt as if he was being pushed with ever increasing force to act, to kill and help feed the fiend Baal'morda. When he resisted, he began to feel his own life begin to ebb away rapidly.

Dolen knew that if he didn't find a way to 'feed' within the next day at most that he would die.
